When you arrive for your senior portrait session with me, you won’t work through a set of stiff, staged poses while getting blinded by umbrella flashes. Instead, we’ll set out together to tell a story. YOUR story.
Using natural lighting in outdoor locations in the El Cerrito and Berkeley areas, we’ll capture a collection of your genuine expressions and true personality in photos that could only be yours.
Better still? Instead of “surprise pricing” you won’t see until after your photos are taken, my senior portrait packages include everything described below, including a photographer’s print release so you may use your high-resolution digitals in graduation announcements, gift prints, and more. Does your high school use Prestige Portraits for its Yearbook?
If your high school (eg. El Cerrito High) uses “Prestige Portraits” by Lifetouch for its seniors’ yearbook photos, you can simply schedule your appointment to do your one free senior pose wearing the traditional “drape” or “tuxedo” top to be included in your yearbook. You are not required to pay for choice of outfits and poses if you don’t wish to. At your appointment, simply choose the traditional top they provide as your “one outfit” free for inclusion in the yearbook.

WORKING WITH ME
Step 1 – Decide if I’m right for You
Once you know my photography style (browse senior portfolio), senior portrait packages, and my terms and conditions are a fit for you, If you think we’re a good match, send me a booking request with your senior’s details and preferences. I’ll reply ASAP with availability and ideas for your senior portrait session.
Step 2 – Book Your Session & Get Ready!
I’ll review the details of your request and respond with a suggested date and time, and recommended location. When we’ve settled on the details for your session, I’ll send your:
1) Photo Session Agreement (contract) outlining details of your session and senior portrait package (seniors will also sign a “client guest” agreement).
2) An invoice for your nonrefundable $200 deposit (retainer) payable by credit card. The balance is due the day before your Senior Portrait session.
When I receive both your signed agreement and deposit, you’re session is booked! I’ll send some tips and guidelines to help you prepare for the best session possible.
Step 3 – View & Purchase Photos
Three weeks after your session, you’ll receive a link and password to your gallery, which will be online for 30 days. You’ll be able to view, favorite, and order the digitals and print(s) included in your package from the gallery, and share with other friends or family members. Additional digitals and printed products may be ordered as well.

Senior Portrait sessions are outdoors in Shelly’s recommended locations in the Berkeley / El Cerrito area during the golden hour – approximately the last hour before sunset. Times and locations can change by season and conditions. To request other venues or times, please include details in your Session Request.
SENIOR CLASSIC
$475 + tax· 45-minute session
· 2 outfits + change of outer layers
· Variety of closeups through full-body
· Light professional retouching
· First 5 high-resolution digitals by download
· One 8×10 professional print
· Eight wallet-size prints
· Optional: Add 10 minutes of photos with parents OR a pet $45
Additional digitals and prints may be purchased from your gallery a la carte. Moderate or heavy retouching available for an extra fee.
SENIOR PREMIUM
$625 + tax· 1-hour outdoor session
· 2-3 outfits + change of outer layers
· Variety of headshots through full-body portraits
· Light professional retouching
· First 10 high-resolution digitals
· One 8×10 professional print
· Eight wallet-size prints
Optional: Add 10 minutes of photos with parents OR a pet $45
Additional digitals and prints may be purchased from your gallery a la carte. Moderate or heavy retouching available for an extra fee.
SENIOR LITE
