2019 Silver Winner in Portraits – Society of American Travel Writers Bill Muster Photo Competition
Photographer – Shelly Rivoli’s travel photography and photojournalism have been published in newspapers, magazines and books on four continents. Some of her North American credits include the National Geographic Daily Dozen, LA Times, Westways Magazine, Texas Journey and the Conde Nast Special Commemorative Issue Rise Up! The Women’s Marches Around The World where her photo from San Francisco was the two-page opening spread.
Storyteller – Her travel writing has won several awards, including a Lowell Thomas Award in Travel Guidebooks and honorable mention in U.S. Travel Articles, two Solas Awards for Best Travel Writing from Travelers’ Tales Publishing, and multiple awards from the North American Travel Journalists Association.
Shelly hangs her hat in El Cerrito, California, with her husband, three children, oversized cat and well-traveled standard poodle. She’s delighted to now offer lifestyle, documentary, and portrait photography in the Bay Area.
